Public Works 5th Street Improvement Project

The City of Woodburn Public Works Department has hired Murray Smith and Associates, Inc. to accomplish the design acceptance package to be presented to the City Council early in the Spring for 2010.

Open House Process - Completed

The City is going to conduct three (3) Public Open Houses for the Fifth Street Improvement Project. The proposed locations for those Open Houses are St. Luke’s Parish, Seventh Day Adventist Church, and Nuevo Amanecer. Please note that these locations are tentative and once the date, time and place of the have been determined, notice will be sent out to the neighborhood and other interested persons. At each Open House, information will be provided with regard to the purpose and need for the project. Additionally, an application form will be available for being appointed to a project Citizen Advisory Committee.

Request for Proposals - Completed

The City of Woodburn is requesting proposals from qualified firms for furnishing professional engineering services to investigate, evaluate, permit, design, and provide construction engineering services for street improvements on 5TH STREET between Harrison and OR Hwy 214, including an extension of Yew Street between 5TH Street & 3RD Street. This project includes formal public involvement, new sidewalk, curbs, storm sewer lines/structures, illumination, landscaping, permanent pavement striping and markings, permanent signing, a temporary traffic signal at OR Hwy 214, and an option to underground existing aerial utilities throughout the project limits. Interested firms are invited to submit a proposal outlining their experience and qualifications in performing the work described in the Scope of Services.
